White Bridle was founded in 2007 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation: White Bridle Humane Society. We spent two years acquiring and training horses before launching our program for children with autism through scholarship funding provided by The Autism Society of America. At that time, we created a dba: White Bridle Therapeutic Horsemanship.
Our original program included therapeutic driving with our miniature horses along with cognitive skills and an obstacle course.
In 2015, we launched an ABA therapy business, White Bridle Learning and Therapy, while continuing the work of the nonprofit.
The ranch where we provide our therapy is under construction to become a tennis club, so our horses have moved; but we'll be relaunching our equine programs in the spring of 2019 at the new stable where we board.
The primary focus of our nonprofit this fall will be a Special Olympics Aquatics program.
